All around the world, Barça penyes are not only ambassadors of the blaugrana spirit in their respective territories, but they also defend the club’s colors in various football tournaments between supporters’ clubs of different teams. Recently, this has been the case for the Penya Indobarça chapter Palu (Indonesia), whichwon a tournament in their city, and for FCB Bengaluru (India), which came close to winning a cup held among local supporters’ clubs.
PB Indobarça Palu, champions
In the city of Palu, on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, the local chapter of Penya IndoBarça was crowned champion of a tournament organized by a sportswear brand. The Barça-supporting team played a first group stage in which they faced Bigreds Palu (Liverpool FC) and Milanisti Palu (AC Milan). In the other group, JCI Palu (Juventus) played against the local teams Konteners and Pandang Enteng.
After finishing in first place, the Barça supporters qualified for the grand final, where they faced the Juventus supporters. Fortunately, the IndoBarça Palu team proved superior and ended up lifting the champion’s trophy, which was celebrated enthusiastically by all members. This achievement highlights the success of the football-related activities across all sections of Penya IndoBarça, which regularly bring their members together to enjoy good moments on the pitch.

FCB Bengaluru fall just short of the title
In India, FCB Bengaluru also took part in a competition of local supporters’ clubs, the Supporters Republic Cup, organized by the Bangaluru Football Supporters Association. Alongside the blaugrana team, MUSC Bengaluru (Manchester United), Chelsea Bengaluru (Chelsea FC), and the combined Bundesliga Bengaluru team (Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund) also participated. In this case, the competition format was a round-robin tournament.
After all matches were played, the FCB Bengaluru team reached the final, but lost in a penalty shoot-out. Even so, the Barça supporters had a very strong performance and finished as runners-up, in a competition marked by the good atmosphere among all participating teams. Throughout the year, FCB Bengaluru often play friendly matches with other local penyes, turning their passion for football into a point of connection among fans in their city.
